Ampicillin (Sodium Salt)

Ampicillin belongs to the group of beta lactam antibiotics. Its beta lactam ring structure includes an amino side chain attached to 6-amino-penicillanic acid. Ampicillin is one of the most important β-lactam antibiotics used today. Its action interrupts bacterial cell-wall peptidoglycan synthesis.
