(Cell-Culture Grade)

L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine is a dipeptide which is more stable than L-Glutamine in aqueous solutions and does not spontaneously degrade. An additional benefit of it is the extension of cell culture time, potentially reducing the number of times cells must be passed. L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine can be used as a direct substitute for L-glutamine at equimolar concentrations, the concentration depends on the cell type and medium used to each culture. The concentration of L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine used in classical media ranges from 0.5 mM to 10 mM, but generally falls in the range of 2–6 mM.
