Overview

IPTG (Isopropyl thiogalactose) is a synthetic lactose analog used to induce recombinant protein expression in E. coli systems regulated by the lac promoter. Expression is achieved when the target gene is cloned into plasmids containing lac-based regulatory elements.

IPTG Solution are sterile solutions prepared by 0.2 μm filtration. The product remains in liquid form at its recommended storage temperature (−20 °C), eliminating the need for freeze–thaw cycles and facilitating ease of use and handling.

• Highest purity (>99%).
• White to yellow powder with a sulfur odor.
• Dioxane free.
• Solubility (20ºC): > 20% in water.
