The TRAP-Mutant™ Error-Prone PCR Kit is a cutting-edge tool designed to generate mutant libraries through random amplification of DNA sequences. Based on optimized protocols, this kit leverages the inherently low fidelity of Taq DNA Polymerase, which introduces replication errors during amplification. The mutagenesis rate can be finely tuned by the addition of Mn²⁺, increasing the concentration of Mg²⁺, and using unbalanced dNTP ratios, achieving mutation rates in the range of 0.6–2.0%.
