Oasis Diagnostics® Corporation is a biotechnology company specialized in saliva collection, testing, stabilization and validation of salivary biomarkers. The Company’s technologies address the three main segments of the in vitro diagnostics [IVD] marketplace: molecular diagnostics [including DNA and, RNA], nucleic acid testing [NAT], point of care [POC] testing and testing performed in the laboratory. Over the last 20 years they have developed a series of saliva collection kits that allow collection of different molecular types [DNA, RNA, (including cell free DNA, cell free RNA, exosomes for saliva liquid biopsy), proteins, drugs of abuse, hormones, metabolites, etc.] and have created specific population specific devices for adults, children, infants, geriatrics and even small and large animal species. Saliva is a clinically informative biological fluid with applications in novel approaches to prognosis, laboratory or clinical diagnosis, and monitoring and management of patients with both oral and systemic diseases. The presence of multiple biomarkers in saliva makes it suitable for the development of multiplexed assays, either as point-of-care (POC) devices, rapid tests, or in more standardized formats for centralized clinical laboratory operations.
As a diagnostic medium, saliva offers the advantage of easy collection without the associated risks, fears, or invasiveness of blood drawing.
