Cucumber vein yellowing virus is a pathogen of the Ipomovirus genus that is widely distributed in Spain and significantly affects the cultivation of cucurbits (cucumber, melon, zucchini, watermelon). The virus is transmitted through mechanical contact and by the whitefly Bemisia tabaci. Rapid and accurate identification of CVYV is essential to implement effective control strategies and avoid significant economic losses. This diagnostic kit offers a reliable and efficient solution for the detection of CVYV, facilitating the adoption of timely preventive measures in agricultural production.
PhytoDETECT® CVYV RT-PCR Kit allows an efficient cDNA synthesis and a final time PCR in a single tube. The kit includes a RT Mix that comprises a balanced mixture of reverse transcriptase and RNase inhibitor, and a PCR Master Mix provided at a 2x concentration. Additionally, the kit includes a set of optimally designed primers to detect the CVYV virus through agarose gel electrophoresis.
PhytoDETECT® CVYV RT-PCR Kit contains a positive amplification control (PAC) to demonstrate that the PCR is being performed efficiently with the supplied components. To confirm the absence of contamination, a negative control reaction should be included each time the kit is used.
